Company Dancers are allowed 6 absences per semester (Sept - Dec and Jan-May). If more than 6 absences occur, Company placement will be evaluated. Absences should be used for sickness or an important school commitment. Exceptional Attendance is fundamental for a successful season.
Important to Note: Nurturing, continued growth of each dancer is our main focus. Each dancer learns and improves in their own way and not at the rate of their friends. Decisions of placement and leveling is taken seriously and with their best interest at heart. Negative issues regarding class placement will inhibit a student's progress. Dance levels are not like grades at school. Students may remain in the same level for 2-3 years before they are physically and emotionally ready to accept the challenges of the next level.
Most Importantly, our studio environment and its' culture is essential to our dance training. We are looking for Company dancers and families who are kind, calm, supportive and create the nurturing, balanced atmosphere we strive for.
Company Dance Members are held to the HIGHEST STANDARDS for work ethic, a genuine desire to improve, enthusiasm for growth, ENERGY and sincere support of their peers. These principles must be displayed in classes, at events and outside of the studio. Please take great consideration when considering the Company Dance Program.
